Yes, they are one-on-one and live lessons. When the lesson time comes, you can have a face-to-face meeting with the teacher of your choice by simply pressing the "join" button. (Where is the "Join" button: My Page > Upcoming Lessons > Join)

We have lots of content for you to talk about with your tutor. We have articles, practice materials, vocabulary lists for various occupations such as engineering, marketing and sales, software development. We constantly add new materials, so you always have good topics to talk about when practicing.

To make a reservation at a specific time, simply click on "Schedule a Lesson"' then click on "Search by date" and select when you would like to chat. Then, just select an available tutor to reserve time with!

Once you find the tutor you would like, you can click on schedule to see the dates and times they are available. If you click on the time you would like, you will be able to schedule a reservation for the amount of time you want.

Your reservation must be made at least 12 hours in advance.

In the lessons, you talk to your teacher through the ZOOM program, via the video conference system.
It is sufficient to have the ZOOM program installed on your computer or tablet or phone. To connect to the course, you need to open your Turacoon account and click the "Join the Course" button.
You also have extra possibilities such as messaging with the teacher, sharing screens, and using the screen as a blackboard.

Before starting the first lesson;

1) You must use the latest version of Google Chrome.
2) Make sure your microphone and camera are turned on.

In our system, 150 lessons are provided from about 10 countries every day. Since we have such different experiences every day, we can easily say that the probability of connection problems originating from us is 1%.

On the other hand, there are many different reasons why you can't connect to the lesson:

1) Be sure that you have a good internet connection.

2) Wifi connections sometimes don't work well. Considering this situation, turn off wifi and use your mobile internet.
(Especially if you live in: UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia or Syria it would be better to use your mobile internet instead of wifi)

3) If you use Windows laptop or Android phones, please use the Google Chrome browser.

4) If you use MAC (Apple) or iPhone and Ipad, please use the Safari browser.

5) If you have a problem with connection please refresh your page.

6) Be sure to allow your camera and microphone.
Because if you don't allow, you can never connect from the phone or the computer.

Reservations can be canceled up to 8 hours before the lesson. To cancel a reservation:

Log into your account and click on "Upcoming Lessons" Click the button.

Here you will see a list of all the courses you have booked.

Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the lesson you want to cancel. and press "cancel".

After pressing on “Join”, if the tutor did not join yet please click on “Dispute” then choose “Tutor did not join”. This will reach the Turacoon support team and they are going to get in touch with the tutor as fast as possible. If the tutor had a technical problem or troubles connecting, you will be given an extra lesson that you can use whenever you want.

If the link that the tutor pasted into the system is unavailable please click on “Dispute” then choose “I clicked on the link but it’s unavailable”. This will reach the Turacoon support team and they will try to fix that problem as soon as possible.

You can see all the results of the disputes you’ve opened from the “Dispute” section on your dashboard. The accepted disputes will be colored in green, the rejected ones will be in red. You can see the reason of why it’s accepted/rejected by clicking on “Reason”.

If the teacher does not have an Available Time at the time the student wants, the student can request a reservation from the teacher. For this, you need to click on the "request a reservation" button on the booking page or from the chat section and fill in the information needed. Reservation request can be made at least 3 hours before the lesson time needed. Requesting a reservation does not guarantee the lesson. The teacher answers the reservation request at least 30 minutes before the requested lesson time. Reservation requests that are not confirmed until are considered rejected. The result of the reservation requests is sent to the student by e-mail. If the teacher agrees then the lesson will be automatically booked.

We adjust all the times based on the date/time settings of your mobile device or your computer.

Your level and demands are important to us first.

We don't use books in the first lessons and we determine your level.

Then we determine the book we will use according to your level.

But we also have students who just want to practice speaking. We organize speech activities with hundreds of speaking topics in a planned manner with these students.

It depends on your choice: 25 or 50 minutes.

* If you are considering a trial lesson, 25-minute packages may be ideal for you.
* If you only want to practice speaking to improve your Turkish, 25 minutes may be ideal for you.
* But if you want to take a course at the beginner level, we recommend you choose 50 minutes of lessons.

Turacoon tutors are Turkish teachers who are native Turkish. Many of our teachers can speak 2-3 languages such as English and Arabic.

You can learn more about them by looking at the profiles of our tutors. So you can choose the tutor you want.

Some of our students are looking for tutors to practice day-to-day conversation, others need a business Turkish and wish to go through daily speech or listening exercises. When you first launch Turacoon video chat in Google Chrome or Safari, the browser will ask to use your camera. Click 'Allow' and you should now see your video on the screen. If you do not, you may need to configure the settings for your device.

If you have previously logged in and did not allow the camera, you may need to enable it from the top left-hand corner of Google Chrome's or Safari's address bar. Once you click the camera you will get the option to enable it by selecting the 'Always allow...' option.

Turacoon is a website where you can learn Turkish at all levels. However, we have a special working model for beginners.

In Turacoon you have the freedom to choose teachers. But, if you are a beginner, we will apply a "coaching system". First of all, we assign a professional Turkish teacher to you and he/she follows your learning process.

We recommend that you regularly take lessons with that teacher. Because the most important rule for learning a new language is continuity.

If you are not a beginner, have a little knowledge of Turkish and can understand the simple sentences, it will be very useful to use Turacoon to improve your Turkish. Because every day you have the opportunity to practice with instructors who is native Turkish.

Anyone who only speaks Turkish or whose profession is only to teach Turkish can not teach in Turacoon.

Here, the tutors who give you Turkish lessons are the ones whose professions is "teaching Turkish to foreigners.".

Besides, our tutors provide their income from subscription fees in Turacoon. We bring you and our tutors together online through a special software developed only for Turacoon.

Surely, all these services cause some expenses. Unfortunately for all these reasons, we can not offer you Turacoon for free :(

If you just want to try the system and learn about teachers, you can choose our basic package. (25 minutes per day - 1 lesson per week - 1 month subscription)

If you want to learn Turkish faster and you think that more practice will be beneficial, 1 lesson package per week will not be enough for you. We recommend that you choose a package of at least 3 lessons per week.

If you think that you should learn Turkish with planned and systematic lessons instead of just speaking practice, we recommend that you choose plans with 50 minutes a day, at least 3 times a week.

As soon as you subscribe, you can start immediately. We have our tutors online 24/7 waiting for you to start practicing Turkish. 

We have a 12-hour rule to book a lesson.

This means: Once you have subscribed, you cannot start the lesson immediately. You can get a lesson reservation at least 12 hours before. Because we do not want both you and teachers to attend unprepared classes.

For example, if you want to book a lesson tomorrow morning at 10:00, you must book this at 22:00 tonight.

You can change the weekly lesson rights and lesson minutes as you wish. 

You can extend the duration of your subscription, but you cannot shorten it. ÖFor example; You can increase your 3-month subscription to 6 months, but you cannot change it to 1 month.

Question: How will the amount I have to say Ö be calculated?

Answer: Immediately after choosing the package, you will be greeted with an explanatory table of how much you should pay. The cost of the days you don't use in your existing subscription will be deducted from the price of your new subscription and the fee you have to say will be recalculated. In order to make this calculation, you must contact the customer representative. You can start using your new package as soon as you upgrade.

Weekly rights are renewed at 04:30 (GMT) on the day the subscription start date falls.

For example, if your subscription start date falls on a Wednesday, your weekly rights will renew every Wednesday at 04:30 AM (GMT).
It is possible to track the time remaining to renew weekly rights from the dashboard.

You can take a course within 12 hours at the earliest. Because we want to make the whole organization complete in order to provide you with a higher quality service.

We think that it is not right to do the lessons without preparation. For this reason, you can book at least 12 hours before a lesson.

Subscription plan minutes are refreshed each day at midnight in UTC.

If you'd like to change it to another time other than midnight in UTC (e.g. 7PM every night or 12AM every night in your local time), let us know by contacting us and we'll change that for you!

The daily limit must be used each day, or else it will expire. Your new minutes will then be refreshed the following day.

We designed our plans this way to promote the daily practice, as the best way to improve your Turkish is to practice consistently.

However, we understand students may miss days due to busy schedules, so we price our daily plans very low. Even if you miss a few days, it still is a great value to purchase a subscription and practice regularly.

Subscription plan minutes are refreshed each day at midnight in UTC. It's important to know that each week on Turacoon begins again on Monday.

For example, if your plan allows you to chat for 5 days per week, you can choose any 5 days during the week (from Monday until Sunday). It's up to you! Once you start talking on one day, you must finish using the day’s remaining subscription minutes on the same day.

Yes, you can cancel the subscription by sending us a Support request.

You will only be charged for the months that you used (after deducting discounts for long-term plans and other expenses for the transfer of refund.).

For example, if you purchase a 3-month plan and receive a 10% discount for it, and you choose to cancel after one month, then you will be charged only the full monthly price (what you would have paid if you didn't buy a 3-month plan).

After deducting discounts for long-term plans and expenses for the transfer of refund, the remainder will be returned to you. Alternatively, you can also downgrade your plan to a smaller one and receive a refund for the difference in cost after deduction of expenses and discounts mentioned above.

Again, you can make changes from your subscription page.

Yes, you can freeze your subscription according to the following conditions:
1- There is no freeze for one month subscriptions.
2- The package can be frozen up to 30 days for one time only in 3 months subscriptions.
3- The package can be frozen up to 60 days for two times at most in 6-month subscriptions.
4- The package can be frozen up to 90 days for three times at most in 12-month subscriptions.

Yes you can. You can buy as many lessons as you want from Turacoon. For example you may want 10 lessons 50 minutes each, you can buy and use them whenever you prefer. Also as an advantage, you can book two lessons per day this way, whilst you can’t do that with a standart subscription.

Yes, If you are a new Turacoon subscriber, you can get a full refund if you do not use the package within seven days.

Turacoon has an option to record lecture videos. All you have to do is pay the extra charge to access your recordings. For this, you need to activate the video recording feature while subscribing. The lessons of the students who buy the video-recorded package are recorded and these recordings are kept for the duration of the subscription. During this time, you can watch the previous lessons again whenever you want. All you have to do is go to the "Past Reservations" tab in the student panel, select the lesson on the date you want and click on the video recording. In a subscription without video recording feature, the lessons are recorded and stored for two days. However, the student cannot watch these lessons. If you decide to purchase a video-free subscription and watch the lecture videos later, you can upgrade your package to the video-recorded option at any time. In this case, your videos after the date you upgraded your package will be saved.

Lesson videos of users whose subscription has expired are stored for another 30 days from the subscription end date. Users who renew their subscription during this period can continue to watch past lecture videos. Past lecture videos of users who do not renew their subscription within 30 days will be deleted.

If you don't want your classes to get Recorded all you have to do is Sign in - Go to your Account - Subscription and then deactivate the Video Regording.

Lesson videos provide the opportunity to watch the development in the learning process. You can watch and repeat all your lessons on Turacoon for 30 days. We care about the privacy of our students. We never use both tutor and student videos in advertising or public recordings, either explicitly or without permission. Be sure that your video recordings are safe in our system.
